During the Rotary year, the club’s membership dropped by 25-30% because of one reason or another: economics, personalities, etc. The club was successful in chasing up funds which it had been owed, leaving it with a balance of over half a million in the bank. Community service activity included the Camp Quality ball and the various activities that were organized for the Camp Quality children. Also worth mentioning were the Terry Fox Run, our support of the Kely Group, and our donation to the Vocational Training Council among others. Our club and our President received citations from the District for our service accomplishments and for again leading the District in contributions to the Rotary Foundation. All in all, our Club still managed to make a major contribution to our community despite it being a difficult year for Hong Kong and for our club.
